About The Resistance Club

The Resistance Club was founded on a simple and uncomfortable observation: the United States is in a fight for its democratic institutions, and too many of its citizens are either unaware of the stakes or unsure what to do about them.

We are not a political party. We are not affiliated with any campaign, candidate, or PAC. We are a community of informed, engaged Americans who believe that democracy requires active maintenance — that it does not sustain itself through indifference, and that the antidote to what is happening in this country is not outrage alone but organized, sustained, strategic action.

Who We Are

Our members come from across the political spectrum — Democrats, independents, and Republicans who share a common concern about the direction of American democracy. What we have in common is not a party but a set of values: the rule of law, the peaceful transfer of power, the rights of all citizens regardless of race, gender, or origin, and the belief that government exists to serve its people — not the other way around.

We are voters, organizers, writers, readers, watchers, and sharers. We track the legislation, the appointments, the executive orders, and the court decisions that shape the country our children will inherit. We compile the information that makes informed citizenship possible. We connect it to the ballot.

What We Do

• Track the most consequential political races in the country — the ones where your vote is most likely to matter.
• Provide voter resources that make it easier to register, verify registration, and get to the polls.
• Publish opinion and analysis — honest, sourced, and direct about what is happening and what it means.
• Build a network of citizens across the country who are ready to vote, volunteer, and organize.
• Maintain The Compact — our community of committed members who show up every cycle, every election, every time.

Why Now

The midterms are coming. The window to change the composition of Congress — to create a check on executive power that currently does not exist — is narrow and closing. Every two years, the House of Representatives turns over entirely. Every two years, a third of the Senate faces voters. Every two years, there is an opportunity to change the balance of power in Washington through the mechanism that the Founders designed for exactly this purpose.

We believe in that mechanism. We are here to use it.
